Hi,
on the 1841 census my ancestors William Hall bcirca 1780 and Lucy(Tolley) bc 1780, his wife, have a tick in the box wether born in Scotland ,Ireland or Foreign parts.
This is in Princes End ,Staffordshire. I have the marraige for them in St Thomas Church Dudley 1802. Unfortunately both seem to be dead by 1851,can anyone think of another way to find the place of birth for them.

Cheshire Lookup Requests / Bradshaw,Bellamy marraige
« on: Monday 14 June 10 04:35 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone
I have looked through freebdm and cannot find a marraige for my gt gt grandparents Willam Bradshaw and Mary Ann Bellamy. I did find one for a Matthew Bradshaw and Mary Ann Bellamy in an area they moved to ,West Riding, but,I was wondering if this was them or just a coincidence. The Bradshaws lived in Wilmslow,Styal area and families worked at Quarry Bank Mill. I have all census details for them. The Bellamy family were from worcestorshire. I think the marraige would have been in the 1870's Willam born in 1853.
Can anyone help.

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Wills
« on: Saturday 03 October 09 05:15 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone
could somebody please tell me if and where I can look up a will online for an ancestor, my 4x gt grandmother Martha Kent.
Martha died in 1866,I beleive that for many years she ran the Red Cow pub in Pepper Street,Whitchurch. Her husband George died in 1825 in Malpas. I know he left a will in cheshire from that index.
If not is it possible for some kind person to look it up at the record office.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / STEVENSON Heywood
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 02:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I am stuck on a branch and was wondering if someone could solve my dilemma.
My ancestors Abraham Yearsley and Sarah Stevenson were married at St Marys Church,I assume around Ancoats, in December 1839
The fathers names on the certificate were George Yearsley,a spinner and John Stevenson,a labourer. Witneses were Hannah Stevenson and someone called Haukner or Faulkner,I can't read his first name
In the census records for 1861 Sarah later gives her birthplace as Heywood,Lancashire. At the time of her marraige she lived at Every Street.
I looked at the 1841 for Hannah and John Stevenson and only found one set in Rochdale, very close but he was a stone merchant, not a labourer.Other research shows this person,John, ran a business with his father Robert. Can anyone help me with baptism in Heywood she was born approx 1816-17,she was 44 in 1861.
regards Mike :) Ps I can't find George Yearsley either:(
