Hi All

Would anyone fancy having a go at cleaning up the above gentleman.
He was my father's oldest brother and this was sent to me recently by his daughter whom I spoke to for the first time last year.

I assume this photo was taken during the 1940s

Hi All

Please forgive my ignorance I am looking for information on an application for the freedom of  the city of London. (I have a copy of the application)

The gentleman in question is Arthur Tyndall he was born on 21 Sept 1898 the date of his application was 31 Oct 1927 he was serving as a police sergeant at the time.

The question I am asking is why and any other info at the time.

Hi All
I am looking for a possible birth for the above gentleman.
He died in 1824 on his burial record from attached I think it say's his age is 88 this may be wide of the mark. As some of the writing on the page I have is different and the 2 8s on his look different!!
He married Elizabeth Lyall in the same parish in 1790 I have banns their last child was born 1802 according to what I have managed to find out Elizabeth died 2 years after her husband on her death it say's that he was beadle of Careston kirk on his, it states kirk officer.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have an Adam Tindal on the 1911 census in London living in lodgings he gives his occupation as police constable age as 21 place of birth as Montrose I cannot find a birth for him anywhere

Any and all assistance would be much appreciated

I am afraid I have no further details other than I believe he was from the London area

Would anyone be able to give me a date for the attached soldier, due to information I have it would need to be prior to 1911 am I correct probably between 1908-1911 is this a possibility.

Photographer died in 1898 I am assuming his son took over the business until his death in 1928
