Ayrshire / John McMahon and Jane Coyle
« on: Saturday 18 August 12 00:20 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to track down the marriage certificate for John McMahon, born about 1820 in County Monaghan, Ireland and his wife, Jane Coyle, born about 1816 in County Down, Ireland.  Their son, Francis', birth certificates says that they were married in 1844 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.  Since they were Catholics, I assume that they were married at St. Joseph's Chapel in Kilmarnock, as most of their children married there.  I have checked Scotland's People as well as the IGI but can find no record of their marriage.  Is there somewhere else that I should be looking?  Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
