Looking for info on the marriage of Michael McElligott and Mary Leahy at the St-Ann's Catholic church on the 21st of April 1861 in Alderney. Does someone knows if the church still exist and if yes how can I communicate with them re: email address?

A daughter was born on february 9th, 1862. Her name was Bridget McElligott

Also the witnesses of the marriage were Robert Brasil and Mary-Ann Brasil as per the military document concerning the marriage.

How can I get the church marriage document?

Thanks

England / Help needed McElligott alias Ahearn
« on: Monday 26 March 07 18:26 BST (UK)  »
Just discovered on a birth certificate from the church it is mentioned McElligott alias Ahearn. Can someone tell me what "alias" means?

Should I start looking for Ahearn family instead of McElligott? Were people changing name when they came to England from Ireland?

Need help badly.

Thanks

This is my last resource to find out my Greatgreatgrandfather Michael McElligott military Id, a gunner in the Royal Artillery in Woolwich in 1873.
This info would help me to complete my family tree. Could someone be able to locate this info for me as it is impossible to go to KEW since I am from Canada.

Thanking you in advance and this is the greatest web for genealogy research.
