Anyone have an ideal way of organizing all the info collected ie is it best to file under surnames? I have papers everywhere!!! thanks

yes looks like you may have :) just wondering if Prescot is a district they would use anyway lets see what the cert tells me................wont get it now till Dec as im abroad till then :(

yeah she died 1st and as far as im told she was buried there the grave is the original stone. my sister seems to think she died in a asylam in the area, but i can't find any death registered at all for her any year.........mystery

It was in Lancashire........Liverpool area she is buried in St Thomas Church Melling aged 65 yrs Ledson was her married name Heyes was her maiden name, she died in the local area certainly in England

Name is Catherine Ledson and date of death was 29/10/1941 according to the gravestone which I guess will be correct?

Can anyone advise me how to find a death certificate when the GRO can't find it? they say the records may have been destroyed during the war (1941) yet she was buried and you need the death cert to bury someone? I'm frustrated as they even suggested she died during an airraid!!
