I did the search/lookup on the Notts board originally
This is where I got the info from

It does say that she was born in Middesex London on the census for 1871/81
So she must have lived in this area at some time

I am assuming this wpuld be before she was married and if she may/could be located in the area/s is was born I would also hopefully get her parents

Yes in 1861 she is in Nottingham - there an assumpton that in 1851 aged 18 and 1841 aged 8 - Can she be found in the place she was born

I have tried free BMD but as you say its not complete - it did give a Louisa Anderson married to  a Chapman - but that is the only one - I need a more concise way of finding Anderson's married to Chapman's between 1880 and  1917

Yes I could trawl through 1837 but that's going to cost

I had originally thought that someone would have had a list of marriages on cdrom or something


The only other information available is that she had a son Thomas Leslie Howard in 1917 - BUT - we know she never married an Howard - BUT was married to a Chapman

Like all Family researchers I'm looking for the hook that will give me the vital clue to the rest of the family that we have absolutly no knowledge

The details that may help with the search are:
West Tottenham, Edmonton Middlesex
Louisa was a Laundress

These are the only details known from the birth certificate of my wifes father
