Antrim / Re: Robert Stevenson Lismavallaghan
« on: Tuesday 06 September 22 01:00 BST (UK)  »
Wish I could help you, Doublebassy, but I have found no new clues for my Robert Stevenson. But Clough is the area where my PAUL family originated and I have reason to believe they were closely connected (maybe even related) to the MARTIN family of Martinstown. I realize that MORTON's are a different family.

Lanarkshire / Drummond burial Glasgow Necropolis 1796
« on: Tuesday 06 September 22 00:56 BST (UK)  »
I have a death registration for a Margaret Drummond, age 60, died of consumption July 1796 and (buried in the ?) "Neceplous" (recorded 2 columns after cause of death.)

I assume this means that she was buried at the Necropolis.

Q.  where can I find a possible lair # and names of other family members buried with her?

Although the Robert McClintock in Ballyligpatrick is probably the brother of James Paul McClintock (which suggests a Paul family connection), there was a different Robert McClintock living in Elginny in GV dated 1862. A different person altogether and the one in Elginny is the one I am trying to identify.
From the Valuation Revision Books (PRONI, online) Robert's property in Elginny transferred to another Robert McClintock in 1864, Moses Paul in 1867 and then to an Andrew Armstrong in 1871. Perhaps I should be looking for a death of a Robert McClintock circa 1863/64.

The brother Robert McClintock might be the key to this. His brother James had the middle name PAUL.  In Elginny townland (not that far away) in the 1862 GV, a Robert McClintock took over the farm of my GG Grandfather John I. PAUL who had left for Canada in 1852.  Connecting the Ballyligpatrick Robert to this Robert seems plausible but I would like to have more proof.

gaffy:  yes, that sounds like another brother. With the middle name for James McClintock being "PAUL" that suggests a link to a Paul family.

McCLINTOCK   Buckna Pres   Racavan   Ballynacaird   Antrim
Gravestone Inscription   Erected by James McClintock, in loving memory of his father James McClintock, who departed this life 8th June 1880, aged 72 years, also his mother Jennie McClintock, who departed this life 31st March 1897, aged 74 years, "Them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him"
Comment   [Granite Headstone] [JAMES McCLINTOCK, 8th June 1880, NT, JENNIE McCLINTOCK, 31st March 1897, NT]

I think this is a different James as mine died in 1917 and his wife Jane in 1887 age 52. But the First Broughshane Presb. graveyard McClintocks are certainly related but far too numerous to sort out.

Thanks to you both for the help.

Antrim / McClintock's in Ballyligpatrick
« on: Wednesday 29 December 21 17:21 GMT (UK)  »
There seems to be only one McClintock family in this townland adjacent to Buckna in Racavan parish: John in Griffiths Valuation and a Robert and James who I believe are all brothers. James PAUL McClintock died in 1917 age 92 and had a son named James and daughters Martha and Nancy according to the 1901 and 1911 censuses. From the daughters' birth records it looks like their mother was Jane Finly.  I am trying to find the names of these 3 brothers parents; mother was possibly a Paul born late 1700's or early 1800.  Perhaps someone relates to or has already researched this family?

Looks like the Mitchell might have the answer,

They have some, but not the one I'm looking for.  Maybe thrown in the fireplace for all I know.

Thank you Jon_ni.  I did not realize this information was online as I had only the Olive Tree index you mentioned.  And yes, I found the people I was looking for. Best Wishes.
