Renfrewshire / James Anderson (Paisley)
« on: Tuesday 08 January 08 20:41 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me trace James Anderson from Paisley. He married Helen Allan (m. 1852, d. 1918). Is anyone able to find him on census so I can possibly get more information about his family and possibly try and find out when he died so I can find his parents on his death certificate?

Any help would be most appreciated!

Regards,

Alan

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me find out anymore information about my family in Caithness. The furthest back I have got is to John Swanson and Janet Georgeson (Wick). Their son is Donald Swanson (d. 1893) married to Catherine Bain (b. 1822, d. 1890). His son was John Swanson (m. 1861), married to Margaret Miller (m. 1881) and their daughter is Caroline Miller Swanson (m. 1920, d. 1951).

Any information would be great if anyone could help me!

Aberdeenshire / James Thom & Susan Cordiner

Hi,

I have traced back one line of the family to James Thom and Susan Cordiner from Peterhead. But that is as far as I can get. Their son is John Hogg Thom (b. 1814, m. 1835, d. 1870).

I was hoping someone maybe knew some more information about relatives before James and Susan?

Hope someone can help,

Regards,

Alan

I got their marriage date from their daughters birth certificate in scotland so I couldn't tell their parents names from that.  I found mary's parents from her death certificate but I am really struggling to get john's death certificate because the name is so common!

Mary's parents are called william ewing and mary hamilton.

Is their any way of searching irish certificates online?

Hi,

I have just found out that another line of my family tree descends from Ireland. My ancestors John Cook and Mary Ewing were married in Antrim on the 20/5/1855.

I was wondering if anyone could help me find out anymore about them or their relatives? Any info would be great!

Alan
