Tricia,

I just ask GRO if they could send an email report ? of what is on the BC
I'm a little anxious maybe !!

in meanwhile, would it be possible or easier for you to check on "home child" sent to Canada from your area because here I just can't find him on any ship and I'm sure he didn't swim, at least all that far  ???

if it doesn't take to much of your time and of course if you which too and can cause I wouldn't want to impose on you, you have been such a tremendous help already

it's ordered, but it's unfortunate that we can't see it on Screen before to make sure.

Still I'll have it in 15 days :-

meanwhile, no sign of re-marriage for John and Sarah !?!!

thank you Tarnee, I'll keep it in mind !

Tricia,

about that 1837online.com, they don't even have a Adam Bates in 1900 so
fall ball there !

I found a civil marriage between a john bates and Isabella amison in 1887
in Stoke !?!!

trying to find a way to get birth certificate, will get back to you later !

take care,

Rob

Hi! Tricia,

sorry that I missed you, have to remember the 6 hrs difference with the UK !

anyway you've done a lot of work that is very much appreciated.

I I've never been in the UK and know nothing except for what I
see on TV and with the different use of word like district and counties
and else. it feel like it another planet or in a movie.

and up to now this is like a real movie, a novel, a romance or a drama, so with
the name GWilliam !?!!  didn't even know a name like that could exist !!..and a possible Isabella...WOW!! two widow's romancing...WOW we !!!

it's definitely interesting and in my family too and it's not finish yet, for instance :
how did my father ended in Canada ?? I heard that it could of been around is
11th year of age...under what circomstances...beats me !!!...home children ?War??

by the way, he died when I was young so it explain the lack of references...just a few memories and the fact that I have always felt emotionally different than the people on this continent,.. you know...like never felt at home !?!! hereditary nostalgia...who knows...or maybe the fact that I was raised in French (my mother is from Quebec, Canada)

I am going to try to buy is birth certificate from 1837online.com or something and have a better idea on it.  If you have any idea about what could of happened in England around 1911/14 that would of motivated that he would be sent to Canada,  that could help making sure that I have the right father.

would appreciate to keep in touch with you, you know so much of what I don't !

GWILLIAM !?!! quite unusual for me but then BATES has always been unusual to people around here so,  why not  8)

thanks a million time (smack on both cheeks)
