London and Middlesex / Re: Elizabeth B Traynor

Traynor is not unusual in Irish records. There are over 200 Elizabeth Traynor (with variant spellings) birth records in Ireland from 1864 to 1923. My Traynor family are from Ireland and some went to the USA.

Sorry I am confused, is it the daughter of David you are looking for? That Myfanwy I think is at 31 Pontpren, Penderyn (Brecon), Merthyr Tydfil, Breconshire, Wales in 1901 and 1911

Could it be this one?....

Apr-Jun 1890 Merthyr Tydfil 11a 305 DAVIES Myfanny (not sure if this is an error in the actual index or on the GRO site only) age 0

Maybe for some reason it was entered in the next quarter?

Lancashire / Re: Robert OLIVER date and place of birth query, Liverpool 1879?

Could he have been the illegitimate child of a member of the family and brought up as a sibling to Nora or found that he was a sibling of Nora's born out of wedlock and unofficially adopted by an Oliver family? I don't know the family or the dates so don't know if that is a possibility.

There is a tree on My Heritage, the site manager of which is a direct descendant of Honora (Nora) Bridget McCarthy Rodgers, so it would be worth contacting them.

On a computer - To unlink someone from your Ancestry tree (but not delete them from the tree) go to the profile page of the person you want to unlink.
On the right top, choose the Edit button and click the arrow on it, it will bring up a small option menu.
Choose Edit relationships.
You can change relationships to 'adopted' 'biological' etc, but to unlink them from being connected to the person just click the cross by the side of the name of the person you wish to disconnect from them.
Then click the blue 'Remove' button.

"Social and medical services were overwhelmed during the peaks of the virus. Doctors and nurses were scarce due to the war and to the scale of the pandemic. "

"With so many people dying, the bodies of those who had passed away were sometimes stacked on top of one another, in coffins or wrapped in cloth. Wood for coffins ran out, and gravediggers and undertakers could not keep up with demand. The dead were taken to the cemeteries by the lorry load. In some places, mass graves had to be used in order to bury the dead quickly enough."

"In some countries, including the United Kingdom and New Zealand, the peak of the mortality was in November 1918, in the midst of peace celebrations. Mass jubilation and cheering crowds also helped to spread the virus, and death tolls peaked in the days following the celebrations as the virus worked its course."

Does anyone know if there is a list of people buried in mass graves over this time period?
