I am no DNA sleuth but will try and give a few thoughts on how I handle my matches.

I now and again do a search on my DNA page for the Surname (middle box) I am researching at that time. I will do just a surname and try with and without place (right box). Looking into the peeps that pop up, they are all DNA connections, that may or may not be what line I am researching.

This can bring up the smaller matches as shared DNA with matches does not show under 20cms.

I colour code family, which may have more than one colour if they overlap. Some have a few colours so I know where the family connection is. I can then bring up the connections by colour.

I would try with Tom, give the match a colour for John...if any other matches do not have any shared matches with him give a colour for Mary and try and build that way.

Hope this makes sense, am sure others with more knowledge will add to help

Sarah has dropped her age (40) but looks a bit like 46 maybe... as Fred is younger.

Children are about the right age from 1901?

On the Ratcliffe schedule in 1911 (next page to census) it is signed Dobbs, but written over is Ratcliffe

Yes it's Norma Shearer. You can even buy a life size cutout from the same photo

https://www.celebrity-cutouts.com.au/product/norma-shearer-black-and-white-cardboard-cutout/

How very strange... Maybe Albert's wife on the jpeg was Norma?  ???

Like you not finding a death of Cornelius Wes(s)eldine after 1881. There is a birth/death in 1878 but different person.

1911 the Ratcliffe family are living 2 doors away from Sarah Ann Cockerill with Fred Cockerill & Dobbs children. Service record for Fred gives - Marriage Date 28 Feb 1906, Marriage Place, Reg Office Lincoln.

Marriages Jun 1906   same page
Cockerill    Frederick        Lincoln    7a   1258
Dobbs    Sarah Ann        Lincoln    7a   1258

So with the connection of birth, bapt & 1881 census as CW, with family.  1891 census (with family) as Charles Dobbs (alias Ratcliffe on service record) I think there is a very good possibility they are one and the same. All b c 1879, Horncastle.

Maybe a chance his bio father was Ratcliffe?

Just my thoughts

Dress style does seem to indicate the 1920s.  There looks like writing on pic, unable to read as small.

Your couple married at the parish church Ruabon, there is a possibility that the children where baptised there.

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/DEN/Ruabon see church records for info where kept

This seems to be the parish church, there is a contact link that you could possibly try and ask about  family history baptism? But recheck, on searching this came up as the parish church.

https://stmaryschurchruabon.co.uk/

Added: it depends if the records are still available to the church and if someone has time to look.

I have twice in my research contacted the church direct and received positive information from direct records

Good luck
