Staffordshire / Ann Maria Hingley and Joshua Worton/Walton

I am trying to find any children of Ann Maria Hingley and Joshua Worton/Walton married 4 June 1865 Tipton.

Ann Maria died 28 August 1870 in Kingswinford areas, of typhoid and I want to know if she and Joshua had any children during the period of their marriage (5 years).

Her parents were James Hingley and Ann Maria Haden. James and Ann lived in Dudley.

Any help much appreciated.

Lancashire / Fred Holt and Alice Ann Seddon 1903

I am trying to trace the family of Alice Ann Seddon who married Fred Holt (b1872) in 1903 in Barton upon Irewell registration area of Lancashire but so far no success.

Fred and his family lived in Stretford but I have no clue about Alice's family. Is Alice in your tree? Any information appreciated.

Northamptonshire / Samuel Patrick of Deeping Oak

I am trying to find out where Deeping Oak in Northamptonshire is or was. I have the will of Samuel Patrick who died in 1795 and it states he is of Deeping Oak in the County of Northamptonshire.

Any ideas of where this is or when Samuel was buried or in fact any information at all on him is more than welcome.

Stirlingshire / Drowning of Joseph Merry

I am trying to findout more about the drowning of Joseph Merry who was an Inland Revenue Officer (Excise) in 1861. I have his death entry from Parish of Bothkennar which states that he was drowned in September 1861 it supposed on 23rd between 6-7pm. His body was not washed up until 30 November 1861 on the shore of the River Carron.

Joseph was born in 1828 Yorkshire, England and was married with two young daughters. I have found the family in the 1861 census living at what looks like Sunnyside, Carriden.

Any suggestions on how I can find out any more about the event from local papers or other records like burial etc. Any suggestion appreciated.

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / William White born Habton abt 1782

I am just about stumped!!! Any help much appreciated.

In 1851 I have William White living in Scarborough iat Dumple Street, states occupation Baker. He states his place of birth was Habton, age given as 69 years.

William was in Scarborough from around 1803, where he married and had his children. He died there in 1851. As he died in 1852 I cannot check his place of birth in other census.

Any help on tracing his baptism or in fact any information much appreciated.

Are there any "live ones" related to the above families that were in Willesden / Hendon area.

The Keats/Keates family :
Father Edward Keates born Somerset. Edward was married twice.

2nd wife Clara Robinson married 1890.
One of their daughters Tryphena went to America also several of her brothers.

Howe family also had a son Victor Barrington Howe who went to America, he married Tryphena Keats.

If any one is interested in this family please contact me as I am hoping to find live relatives who may be able to fill the gaps from 1900's to date for the family.

I can supply further details if you think the familes may be ones you are interested in.

Stirlingshire / Gartness, Stirlingshire?

In the 1891 and 1901 the place of birth of James Mackison is given as Gartness, Stirlingshire.

Does anyone know where Gartness is? I cannot track it down. Any information gratefully received.

Worcestershire / Worton and Hingley

Joshua WORTON married Ann Maria Hingley in 1865 in Tipton. Ann Maria died in 1870 in Dudley and Joshua remarried in 1872.

Ann Maria's parents were James Hingley and Ann Haden? they lived in Dudley.

Joshua's parents were John Worton and True Williams married Dudley St Thomas in 1825. The Wortons moved between Staffordshire and Worcestershire, later moving to Durham for a while, back to Worsc/Staffs, Yorkshire and then to Scotland.

I am trying to findout if they had any children. As they married and Ann Maria died between two censuses it does not help!!!!!

Is anyone else out there interested in these two families?

Dorset / Conway Family Longfleet and Kinson

I am trying to find a marriage for George Lockyear CONWAY and Martha ? about 1858.

George was in the brick maker born about 1826 in Kinson. Martha was born about 1834 in Twillingate, Newfoundland.

They had 2 children Thomas John born 1860 and George Lockyer born about 1862. Both children I believe born in Kinson. By 1871 George senior had died and Martha and the children were living in Longfleet.
