Staffordshire completed Look up Requests / parish church - roley regis 1847

hi, all
my ggggranddaddy Nicholas Powell got married at a c of e parish church Rowley Regis on 5th April 1847 to Elizabeth Sheldon. Witnessed by John Hickman & Elizabeth Palmer.
My question is which church would this have been? and would any further records be available.?
I already have a copy of marriage cert, but would parish records give me any further info on this family.
I ask because i am trying to trace his father James Powell occupation soldier born Ireland.

Help required
How do i set about tracing my ggggrandfather.

All i have is
James Powell born Ireland...about 1790 - 1800.... dont know where

Turns up in The Knowle Rowley Regis Birmingham 1847 on his sons Nicholas
 marriage cert, so he may not have been present...

Listed as occupation Soldier on above marriage cert.

His son Nicholas is also listed as born Ireland abt 1826.

i have no other info .

has anyone got any ideas where to look  :-\

Help please
I am trying to find out who she married. If indeed she married at all.
Catherine Morris b 9/10/1850. 35 Darkhouse lane Coseley Sedgeley.
children William. Thomas. Mary. John. and Paul. All with the surname Townsend.Its believed her husband was Paul Townsend but i cant find a marriage.The first son William was born in Sedgeley so i can only presume thats where she married. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Parents were Robert Morris b 1825 and Ann Millington b 1821.
Also does Darkhouse Lane still exist ?

hi folks
can anyone help me in my search for info on James Powell born Ireland about 1790-1805 lived in The Knowle, Rowley Regis, Birmingham, 1847. on sons( Nicholas Powell) marriage cert his occupation is soldier. sadly that's about all i have. I have done a little digging .The National Archives only show one James Powell born in Ireland discharged between 1760 & 1854 in the WO 97 series of discharge papers: WO 97/319/142 JAMES POWELL Born FERMOY, Cork Served in 10th Foot Regiment Discharged aged 46 1805-1821.
i have only basic understanding of  genealogy  and was wondering, where do i go from here??????????????

Hi folks
Have come to a dead end and am asking for your help.
Paul Townsend born c 1842 - c 1886 Dont know where born, supposedly married
Catherine Morris b 1850 sedgley staffs ,( no record). Had 5 children together and lived in castleford.
I have an indication Paul Townsend died in Selby can anyone check this for me ??
Am trying to work backwards because i cant find anything on him.
Any help much appreciated.

On my ggggrandfathers marriage certificate it states the address as The Knowle Rowley Regis.Has anyone any idea where or what this means?.His name was Nicholas Powell b1826 in Ireland he married Elizabeth Sheldon b 1819 in Dudley.  Married April 1847 @ the parish church Rowley Regis. His father was James Powell occupation Soldier no birth or death dates, i have no further info, other than he also came from Ireland.Dont know if he was Irish or English?Dont know of any wifes name?? or of any siblings. I have come to a complete dead end any help would be most welcome :( >:(
