Cork / Jane Cooper
« on: Saturday 16 March 24 10:18 GMT (UK)  »
Good morning,
Could someone out there help with this family, as for years I've found it so difficult to find anything.
I have two births of a Mary Ann Cooper and her sister, Isabella who I know were born in Ireland, Mary Ann in 1890 at the workhouse in Banach Street, don't know if that's Cork or Kilkenny, and Isabella was born in centenary row.
There father was a private in the Shropshire regiment by the name of Thomas Cooper, and their mother, Jane, sometimes Mary Jane, who was formerly Byrne/Bryan.
I have seen hints about her parents possibly being John and Jane.
Any help would be most welcome, thanks

Hi again rootschatters,
I was wondering if someone out there could help me find the parents of a Philip Lane, born in Dawley,Shropshire 1805.
He married Elizabeth Moses in either  1829 or 1828, and died aged 47 in 1852, buried at malinslee.
Thank you all

Just hoping someone can help move us in the right direction with this Lane family.
It doesn't help when everyone you're looking at is Thomas and Mary,it would be nice to have some different names to follow.
So any info to guide me along the right lines would be most welcome.
Thanks.

Shropshire / The Lane family

Hi again all you lovely people.
I am looking for any info on a Thomas Lane 1801-1874, particularly his parents.
There is information suggesting he married twice, firstly to a Mary Evans at Wellington in Oct 1821, she then died 10 years later, and he married again to Mary Cartwright at Dawley magna 17 Oct 1836.
I think this is the family in Donnington 1861, Thomas Lane 61 coalminer, Mary 54, Ann 21, Thomas 18 ironstone worker and James who was also an ironstone worker.
James went on to marry Elizabeth Hart on Aug 4 1873.
Are there any trees out there?
Thanks everyone

Sorry for being a pain....I have the two John's,my line being the younger one.
It doesn't get any easier with this family does it?
It looks like my John may have married twice, but both wives are Elizabeth.....one Empson the other Ellis.
Their are several children on a tree belonging to John, which I have on my tree, but Francis doesn't appear on that....maybe because he came from the second marraige?
Thanks again

Hello again,
Just thought I'd send you this that you sent me a bit back, I don't know if Francis and Ann are on any tree, but this is the first of the 3 Francis's I was telling you about yesterday.
His dad was Francis, and so was his grandfather

Hello again,
You asked about Francis R,well there are 4 in my tree....if I start with the Francis who married Ann Burton 1840,that's my direct line, his father being the 2nd one born 1767,married Sarah Archer 1793,looks number 3 was a brother 1774,then if you can keep up,number 4 is Francis 1735 who married Mary Foster 1759.
The William who married Mary Pacy 1706, had a brother according to my tree John, who was Francis number 4 s dad.
I have Williams dad as William also, but have 1652,that's as far as mine goes back,at the moment anyway.
Thanks

Good morning,
I am very interested in your George Rawdin and Ann Pask,as ancestry have asked if they are in my tree.
It seems Georges dad is John, who was married to Mary, and he was born 1737.
The guy who has put the information up,has my ancester Francis, who married Ann Burton, living with George & Ann ,at some point, so are they related?
My tree has a Sarah born in the same year as George, but her dad was another Francis born 1735.
I'm wandering if Georges dad John may have been this Francis's brother, as he was born only two years later?
Thanks in advance.....sorry about all the Francis's, there are three in my tree!
