thanks for the reply about  william borlase,
 the william + ann you found is williams mam +dad .
i found ann and  the family on the cocp
 (ann borlase dob 1801) my gr gr gr grandmother.
(william dob 1827)  my gr. gr. grandfather.
(ann dob 1827)
(john dob 1830)
(elizabeth dob 1837)
from penzance on the cocp 1841 census (ho1o7/ 143 part 6) folio 16 page 25.
but there was no sign of gr gr gr grandfather borlase on there,
 i ask for a marriage look up  on  borlase from penzance and had a reply back on william borlase + ann christoe,
im now trying to find any info on my gr gr gr gr grandfather borlase.
my thanks for your help alice.

wish i could have met my gr gr grandfather john henry borlase b 1874 he had a couple of butchers shops in newport and bristol, he was a big man 6ft 8 and 19st and a big gambler/drinker, they say his horse and trap could find his own way home from most pubs in newport by himself with john henry fast asleep in the back :D

iv only been searching for 7 months  since a friend passed me a link to this site, and with a bit of help of some of the folks on here I'm back to 1710 on one side of the family,
plus having a 104 year old grandmother helps in the search for the family(when she a wake  ;D)
