Lancashire / Little Crosby church records
« on: Friday 01 May 20 07:42 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering if anyone has either a link to or copies of the church records from Little Crosby that used to be on the 'sunnyfields' site (prepared by Anna Tumilty I think)? I am particularly interested in the 'marriages' and 'burials' that I think were part of the collection.
TIA :)

Lancashire / Looking for Frances Mary Blundell born 1852
« on: Wednesday 27 November 19 21:28 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on my third great-aunt Frances Mary Blundell. Born in Kirkdale in 1852 to Sarah (nee Cooper) and William Blundell and baptised in the same year. I have her in Litherland (census) in 1861 and 1871. I haven't been able to find a marriage or a death. I believe she had a sister Susannah Blundell who died in infancy and a number of half siblings from William's first marriage. TIA.

« on: Sunday 24 November 19 04:11 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there,
I am in Australia and would very much appreciate if someone could do an electoral roll look up for me at Gillingham Library. I have been told in a variety of forums that these records are not available online but can be accessed at the library.
TIA :)

Kent / Lavinia Terry nee Moverly (Moverley)
« on: Friday 01 February 19 02:48 GMT (UK)  »
I was wondering if anyone is researching Lavinia Margaret Terry nee Moverly (Moverley). DOB 1883 married to George Benjamin Terry in 1909. They were from around Gillingham although I believe that Lavinia lived in Maidstone before her death. TIA.

The Common Room / New census, new place of birth! Help!
« on: Thursday 31 January 19 06:09 GMT (UK)  »
This is a general query. I have a set of great grandies that seem to change their place of birth every 10 years at census time. The male side of the equation says in 1841 he was born in Norfolk. Come 1851 and he is from Winchester, Hampshire. Sadly he then dies. His lovely wife also says in 1841 that she is from Norfolk. Roll forward 10 years and she is from Gosport, Hampshire. Another 10 years and she is from Ireland (which in fact is where all the evidence points to). I have checked, re-checked and re-re-checked the census documents to make sure this is the right family. Yep yep and yep! Why did our ancestors do this? (And yes I do have other examples but none so changeable as this lot).TIA :)

Kent Lookup Requests / Electoral Roll lookup Kent History and Library Centre Maidstone
« on: Tuesday 25 September 18 06:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone was heading to the Kent History and Library Centre in Maidstone and could do a look up for me please?

I have contacted them about the look up and was prepared to pay for it (I'm in Australia) but they don't have secure online payment facilities which leaves me in a pickle (most unusual for a government department I would have thought?)

I would like to know all the registered occupants for 29 Lower Mount/The Mount, Chatham (I've seen it written both ways) for the years 1932 - 1937. I was informed that they may not have 1932 so that might have to be checked first up.

TIA.

Kent Lookup Requests / Look up at Gillingham/Medway library please
« on: Thursday 23 August 18 02:34 BST (UK)  »
Hi there,

Would someone be so kind to do a look up for me next time they are at the Gillingham/Medway library? Sorry, not being a local I don't know the libraries in the area so am guessing here!!

I'm hoping that the information I'm looking for can be found in the electoral rolls of the time i.e. who lived at 2 particular addresses.

If able would you mind private messaging me please?

TIA.

Kent / How to find who lived in a Gillingham address in 1958?
« on: Sunday 19 August 18 08:44 BST (UK)  »
I am researching a fellow from a Gillingham family who lived in one address but died in another (I am imagining all sorts of interesting scenarios!) As I can't yet access his death certificate to get any clues (GRO death certificates only available to 1957!) I was wondering if there was a way of finding out the occupants? I can't find electoral records for this area online which is where I thought I might hit pay dirt. TIA for suggestions.
