Helping a friend. All is known about this gentleman apart from his death. He appears in NSW electoral registers until 1958 when he would have been aged 90/91. Can anyone find his death please.

Whilst looking for something else in 1911 census came across a John Noakes occ butcher in Battle Sussex. 13 children born in 15 years of marriage and no twins. Ages 13.12.11.10.9.8.7.6.4.3.2.1 and one deceased. Can anyone better that?  ;D

England / Where are they in 1861

Good evening all, below 1851 census.

https://www.familysearch.org/search/ark:/61903/1:1:SGVY-5QB

What I have worked out so far.

Believe father John died 1858 aged 55 Windsor

Thomas c1831 no details

The 3 children born Chertsey all baptised there with parents John & Elizabeth. His occ Carpenter
The 5 children born 1839-49 have mother's maiden name as Jenkins
A further daughter Selina Elizabeth born 1852 Windsor

The only John Allen/Elizabeth Jenkins marriage I can find anywhere is JQ 1849 Newbury.

But can anyone find any of them in 1861 census, if John has died has Elizabeth moved in with someone else and all parties have "adopted his surname"

Thanks

London and Middlesex / Name of witness on marriage cert.

On the 24.3.1884 Neville Henry Goodman married Minnie Leeke. Image for those with subs on Ancestry. His sister Marion/Marian Goodman was one witness but any ideas as to the forename of the other. Surname Hood. What is strange I know that his sister married in 1884 but please do not let that affect your judgement on this marriage.

Thanks

The Common Room / At what point.

Hi All. like many other's I have a reasonably comprehensive family tree. Again, like other's there is always a couple of member's of that tree that are elusive. My own particular person is one Kate Jessie Filer nee' Hood born 10th January 1857. At what point do I stop from becoming obsessive with her. I have her on all census from 1861 through to 1921, and I believe until 1929/30 electoral registers. I know whom she married, separated from, her ex husbands re-marriage, death etc. She did not have children.
I have tried every combination of surname deaths from 1922 onward's when I know for sure she was at a certain address as per 1921 census.
Do I accept that she may well have died alone, with no living relative's and with an unknown name a death.

Your thoughts and any idea's as always are welcome.

Hi, trying to help a friend, info below of known facts,

Born DQ 1875 Ulverston, UK, bap / chrisened 5th December 1875, parents William & Margaret (nee' Rawlinson)
Appears on 1881/91/1901 uk census.

Married Mary Jane Burnside Rose 1894

1911 census Mary Jane Kendall head of household with 6 children.

Frederick went to the United states in 1910 stating on record he was going to a James Rose.
Frederick returned to uk in 1914 and this record I think intimates he had a return ticket.
No evidence of a UK death from 1914 -1983 an was not seen by family from 1906.

Did he return to the US and any further help as always most welocme.

I have just looked at some Ancestry "hints" and this one stood out for me.

Find a Grave, database and images (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/200203531/sophia-hood : accessed 26 October 2021), memorial page for Sophia Hood (6 Jun 1777–5 Feb 1821), Find a Grave Memorial ID 200203531, citing St. Leonard's Churchyard, Bilston, Metropolitan Borough of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England ; Maintained by Paul Barnett (contributor 48481980) .

Does this mean there is a headstone/memorial and can I order from the a photograph.

Thanks
