Limerick / Catherine Hart
« on: Wednesday 06 October 21 21:16 BST (UK)  »
Hi, Im trying to trace a Catherine Hart, I believe I have a copy of her birth certificate Born 6.4.1830 to John Hart and Mary Sullivan in Askeaton, Limerick. I think she married a John Preston and they had a son called Michael born about 1846. Michael moved to Scotland and married in 1871 to a Mary Flannigan, also from Ireland. Another member of Rootschat posted that they could trace a marriage for Catherine Hart to a Daniel Preston in Sligo.  Daniel is not a name that runs in my family. Anyone any ideas????

Hi thanks for that. No I cannot find her on the 1881 census. I got the information from her sons birth certificate.  He was born in Springburn in 1881, and was illegitimate. She stated her usual place of residence was possibly Balfunning Douglas near Balfron. She was a Farm servant.
