Australia / GG Grandparents children
« on: Wednesday 29 April 15 10:02 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
These are the children listed on my GG Grandparents death certificates, I have put them side by side to compare them.
Jane Warren married Edward Occleston in Melbourne in 1849, Edward died in 1850, Jane then married William Hanley in 1851. We can find births for all but the first and last children and are struggling to decipher the name of the first one. Not sure if this is a child of the Occleston marriage or the Hanley one. The marriage certificate from 1851 only gives their names and the witnesses, nothing about previous marriage or children.

Australia / Elizabeth Nelson inquest 1885
« on: Thursday 19 March 15 06:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I'm still searching for the death of my GGG Grandmother Elizabeth, born Elizabeth Robinson 1812 in Manchester. Arrived WA on the Hooghy, married Henry Woods, followed him to Tassie and left him there, remarried John Nelson 1849 in NSW.
I have found that she was in and out of Darlinghurst Goal from 1857 to 1874 but can't find death details.
Today I came across this on Trove http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article111342468
I cant find any death on NSW BDM or anything more on State Records and am unable to visit to search.
Any ideas how to find the inquest?

Lancashire / Jonas Robinson
« on: Saturday 22 March 14 03:34 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am seeking more information on Jonas Robinson who married Jane Pringle in 1812 at St Mary the Virgin Prestwich, Lancashire. Their daughter Elizabeth (possibly my GGG Grandmother) was Baptized at St mary, St Denys and St George in 1814.

I believe that Jonas Robinson may have died and Jane remarried before coming to Australia with her second husband.
