Hello Wendy ... sorry ... my Essex names are from Stebbing ... that I know of.  I have not had much success with those lines.  This is not to say that they did not come from other areas however, they did end up in Stebbing.

Although I have had some help just recently with my PLAYLE line.

I am also tracking my family tree, surname PRIOR, but I have only got back as far as 1801 to a WILLIAM PRIOR who married a SARAH PLAYLE c1801, they lived & had their 7 children in Toppesfield Essex UK. Is anyone else connected to a PLAYLE in Toppesfield Essex?
