1891 lookup -Theophilus Evans

I am tracing my late wife's paternal side of the family in which her grandfather was THEOPHILUS EVANS B1888 . I know that Theophilus ran a bakery business at Gilfach and I believe a brother Fred ran one too at Bargoed. I know Theo that other brothers-Dan and Edgar and another I believe, a sister too who I think was Alice. But where the family of Evans came from I am not sure. So if anyone finds information on 1891 census then I would love to know. Any help appreciated. Thankyou Ken

Welsh blood in these veins - and lived in Swansea for 3 years!

I can still say "Where are my crisps?" and "I love coffee" in Welsh - v handy!!  ;D ;D

I acknowledged Arranroots for a reply first put on Monmouthshire and thought it made sense to check the Glamorgan site. So there we go-but I thankyou all with christmas greetings for your splendid respones and sense of fun too. Theo would be proud of my exhaustive searches too. So it would seem nothing else has turned up other than Arranroots finds.

Just to explain a little:  if you post for censuses, those who do look-ups will usually check more than one county if they have the resources available, so posting on more than one board is not usually very profitable.  (Unless your first looker-up was hopeless and I can be!!)

The exception is if you are asking for specialist local knowledge or info such as might be known to someone living locally or belonging to a local family history society.

If in doubt - ask!  You can PM fellow members or a Moderator - we try not to bite!  :)
