Soldiers died in WW1 CD - lookup please
« on: Thursday 05 January 06 22:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
If anyone has access to the CD of soldiers killed in WW1, I'd be very grateful if you could find William Henry UNDY for me.
He was killed at the Somme on 26th September 1916, and he was 32 when he died. He was in the 9th battalion of the Sherwood Forresters, Notts and Derby regiment. His reg no was 9719, and he was a Private.
Please let me know if you need any further details.
Many thanks to anyone who can help to locate him!

Many thanks indeed to both Guy and Annie, for your help!
The place of birth (Attercliffe) leads me to believe that William was indeed my ancestor!
That's great!
Thank you so much,

looking for:  Private Thomas BERRY    Reg no. 7253         2nd Bn. Royal Irish Regiment.  died  on Monday 19th October 1914 aged 38.....commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.

I think he probably enlisted in Wexford but am hoping his place of birth may be included
