Marriage lookup help.

I need some help please.
I am trying to find the marriage of William Carter & Ann Friday, so I can order their marriage certificate.
William Carter was born in Chelsea, London in 1841.
Ann Friday was born in Windsor, Berk's in 1843.
Their first child James was born 1859
Sarah b.1860
Elizabeth b/1861
William b. 1866

William died 1866 aged 26 and Ann Carter remarried a George Rogers May 2nd 1871, in Chelsea.

I cannot seem to find the marriage of William Carter and Ann Friday.
Can anyone help  ???

If she was 16 when her first child came, maybe they didnt marry as you needed parental agreement at that time I'm sure.

So you think maybe they never married and she juist used his name  ???
I have looked at the FRC in the books and never found the marriage at all.

Anna, It is still not coming up for me.
I can find William Carter Sept Q 1859
But no Ann Friday, only a Emily Hardy  ???

Could you somehow show the link with both names please?

Hi,
You should be able to order the certificate just under the William Carter name, stating the quarter, year and the FreeBMD reference.

ie: William Carter Chelsea Sept Q. 1859 1a 273

By the way, I just searched FreeBMD..... and Ann Friday IS there!!

Friday (it wouldnt do it when I put her name in)

Click find

1 record comes up

Click on the underlinded number 273 and it will show you who else married that day - including one Ann Friday
