Bent Ayrshire Geography question

I have a parish record that says John Bryden of Bent had a daughter.  This was from the Mauchline PR's. Question is Bent a name of a farm or a town in Mauchline?  There seem to be other Brydens from Bent and curious how they all match up.

Bent is a small hamlet south of Mauchline (the town that is).

Go to http://www.streetmap.co.uk

Put Bent as a place name into the search terms box, click search and the map with it marked by an arrow will appear.  If you then zoom out to get a bigger picture you will see where Bent is in relation to Mauchline.
