I hope you don't mind me plugging your website Keith - I know you're not quite as forthright in such things as some of your friends  ;)

I came across your site almost by accident a while ago when I was tracking down some ancestors born in Barkway & Buntingford and spent a very pleasant hour or so going through your wonderful photographs.

I take my hat off to you for a great site!

Best Regards,

Al

Hi Annie,
I didnt recommend Keiths site to Yvonne because I thought he would think I had a bit of a cheek and that I should let him do it, it being his work. I gather from your tone he wouldnt have minded then!!!!!!!

Hi Annie,
You are right, it is a great site and being a local girl to Ware I have found it fascinating, and as long as its ok with him I will plug it liberally at every opportunity. Lets not tell keith all this though, just in case he cant get his head through the next door he tries to walk through!!!! HI KEITH.

Hi All,

Will you stop this - ohhh alright you can carry on! ;)

Nice to think that people can use my site to find details/photos from Hertfordshire - now how can I get people from Lancs, Cumberland and Devon to think the same way!!

I must visit Ware later this year - might see all these places for myself

Cheers

Hi Linda,

Other than possibly when I was a kid - visited Letchworth & Hitchin to see my uncles once a year for a number of years.

I did pass through it a couple of years ago - when I had just started on my family history - a quick visit to the cemetery and got a couple of inscriptions - but did not know what I should be looking for  ??? ???

I now have a niece who lives in St Neots who keeps inviting me down - plus I have been in contact with a cousin who lives in Letchworth - so will try to get there sometime.

Cheers

Keith

I am sure you will enjoy it keith, and it sounds like you have a choice of accomodation nearby. At least you will know the location of all the local pubs if you want a meal or a pint, but watch the traffic wardens, I got a ticket last time I parked in town.
     Best wishes,   Linda.
