Hi again badgirl, think I may have sussed it, been bugging me since aft...you will still need the cert to prove this.

Checked the IGI again, this is submitted info not subtracted from source so it maybe open to error. I found grandfather Jenkin birth and marriage to Mary Evans.

They had a son Aaron who had a son Ward, he was the one on the IGI, not 2 same guy.  The one born in 1868 to Aaron is Ward's nephew (he had a brother Aaron)  I have found this family on the 1841.  When you get the cert let me know and I will post details, unless you do not wish to wait. See below

*******************

Jenkin David

Birth:  1771   Coity Lower, Bridgend, Glamorgan, Wales

Parents:
  Father:  Jenkin David
  Mother:  Anne David

Marriages:
Spouse:  Mary Evans
Marriage:  21 MAY 1794   St Brides Minor, Bridgend

**************************
Aaron David
  Male

Birth:  1798   Brynna, Bridgend, Glamorgan, Wales

 Death:  17 FEB 1878

Parents:
  Father:  Jenkin David
  Mother:  Mary Evans

******************************
This is subtracted info so can be trusted

WARD DAVID
Male

Birth:  APR 1820

Christening:  17 APR 1820   Tabernacle And Bethel Independent, Bridgend And Coychurch Higher, Glam

Parents:
 Father:  AARON DAVID
 Mother:  ELIZABETH

***********************************
This is also to be trusted subtracted info.  Maybe Ward was raised by grandparents because they did not marry until after and he was settled?.

AARON DAVID  - Husband Age at Marriage:  24

Marriages:
Spouse:  ELIZABETH DAVID  (maiden name another David)
Marriage:  27 JUL 1822   Coychurch, Glamorgan, Wales

Hi Ems,

How you doing, good I hope  :)

Guess the knowledge on David/Davies etc, having a similar family in my tree, also have traced some family in the same area.  Do not normally let other trees get to me, but felt bugged at the puzzle had to try and sort for me!!  He has got an uncommon name so Badgirl was lucky the info was there.

Still would get the cert though, you never know...  :-X

Badgirl... I for one would like to know what the cert says, fingers crossed  ;)

Cas

Hi Badgirl,
Will keep checking to see what you find....cant wait!!

Cas,
I know what you mean!! I love to hunt for them and wont let a name or county change stop me!(unless it's in my direct line..LOL)
I'll be a lot happier when Carmarthen re-open,fancy having a refurb when we really need them!!
Apart from that..I'm great, planning my next visit, waiting for certs..hmm.

Hope you're all well and enjoying your searches!!!!!!
