I just thought I'd post that I'd got it wrong!
Having got the certificates Amy Elizabeth Collins was the daughter of John Collins and Sarah Elizabeth Alleway, his first wife.
Sarah died the day Amy was born
Amy's birth was registered six weeks later which threw me as it was then the quarter after her mothers death!

Hi Danae,

Are you looking for anything now? Are you OK with earlier censuses for Sarah Elizabeth?

Shout if you need 1851 (HO107/1725 129 2)

 :)

I've got Sarah Elizabeth in 1851, 1861 & 1871.
She was 10 on the 1851 census but I've not yet found her in 1841

Her parents are George & Emma who I've got in
1851, 61, 71, 81, George dies in 88, got Emma in 1891 and she then dies 1891
Just sent off for their two death certificates
Sarah had a younger brother George born 1850 He's with the parents up to 1891 but I can't find him yet in 1901.

Sarah seems to have been born in Peterborough but I can't find her on BMD either >:(

There's a 10 year gap between Sarah and her younger brother - makes you wonder whether she was born to Emma before Emma married George.

A quick FreeBMD search finds a Sarah Elizabeth Hardy birth in Jun 1841 Peterborough, but I can't find an Emma Hardy/George All*way marriage, or Sarah Elizabeth Hardy in 1841  :(

George jr seems to be at RG13/1369 29 10 in 1901
His birth cert would show Emma's maiden name (George Alleway, Jun 1850 Henley 16 86)

Sarah Elizabeth Hardy would probably have been born after the 1841 census but getting George's birth certificate sounds like the best plan.
I'll post what I find!

I've got George's birth certificate.

Emma Alleway was formerly Palmer...not Hardy!

It doesn't help  :(
