I've got the 1901, 1891 amd 1881 census returns.

Could you let me know what you have for John in 1871 and 1861

Many thanks

Marriage certificate turned up today - you were spot on!!

John Collins is shown as a widow and Catherine Sarah Treacher as a spinster.

Marraige took place in the Parish Church of Remenham.

Witnesses were Thomas & Martha Treacher

John Collins was the son of James Collins

Catherine Traecher was the daughter of Timothy Treacher

That's another relative sorted, thanks so much for your help

Just going back to the 1851 census - does this imply John & Ann Collins were related to Diana Crock?

Well, it looks like Dinah was Ann's mother, doesn't it?

The surname is Crook in 1841:

1841
HO107/52/6 8 11

Dinah Crook, 60, Ind, yes
Ann, 20, yes
