There must be so many cases where for example, the deceased has always said he wanted, say, Barber's "Adagio for Strings" but his widow doesn't like it and goes for the standard "Crimond".
I will make sure my wishes are known, in writing, lodged with a solicitor if necessary. A relative of mine absolutely loathed
Abide With Me, and I often heard her threaten to haunt anyone who chose it for her funeral yet it was played at her funeral because her daughter liked it. It's only a small thing I suppose, but those who knew her well, knew she would have hated it, and it only takes a small thing to upset someone on an already emotional day.
