And to answer my own question, no.

The Palm Beach Post April 30 1920 reported from Lake Worth that the Palm Beach County Art Club will inspect the latest painting of R. Sherman Kidd "The Spanish Armada" among others.

The Museum of Wisconsin In Art had R Sherman listed as a Wisconsin artist this led me to look for the family in Milwaukee. City Directory 1894 has John and Harry both listed at the Republican House Hotel.

Then I got lost and found the 1862 lawsuit in Canada brought by ship owners John Snowden and Henry Havelock Lee.

Hello Cherie Lynn,

If you look back through this thread, you'll see that I gave you that lawsuit over two years ago. It is noticeworthy for the fact that one of the plaintiffs is named as Henry Havelock Lee - definitely our Henry but the only official time I have seen him named so.

I have asked you since, more than once, if you have evidence for Havelock being his middle name. You haven't replied.

I've now seen his death certificate. Havelock isn't on it. Whence cometh this supposed middle name Havelock and what proof is there for it?

His older brother has Havelock for a middle name, but please cite me some proof that Henry had it for a middle name as well.

This is supposed to be an exchange of information, please remember.

Cheers,
Westoe

I have found many "new" things in the last couple of years that have excited me to no end. But when I have shared them, I have had one cousin or another to remind me that either they sent the info to me years before or I had sent it to them years before. So one fun thing about loosing memory - all genealogy finds are new. I have never seen a record with Henry Lee's middle name other than the court case. Maybe Havelock wasn't his middle name, maybe he just said that thinking the court would be impressed with Havelock.

I am very sorry if I have not shared enough and if my memory fails me. Loosing memory and becoming seriously ill is to say the least traumatic. I may not remember every thing you posted.
