Just back from Glasgow with masses of stuff including a complete listing and location maps of every eatery, hostelry, cafe, etc.

Not really up to much information giving at the moment but went to People's Palace this morning - top floor and Winter Gardens closed because of high winds - had a natter to one of the info people, etc., etc., etc.

It seems as if I avioded all that nasty weather as well.

There is one little write up that I must share before collapsing  :)

On the previous thread, Ticker referred us Arta somewhere I think he said was his kind of place  :o

This is part of a review of said establishement:

....Although potentially over the top, it nevertheless manages to attract a crowd that is primarily thirtysomething, smartly dressed, beautiful and loaded.....

Sounds like me!  ;D

Well - Fortysomething, scruffy, plain and broke might be a better description.  I guess the review was written by the owners!  ;)

Don't worry folks. There are about 6 million more on my list  8) 8) 8)

The People's Palace had a small exhibition of 19th century ladies outfits - concentrating on colour/dyes. Very fine attire but I can't see how women managed to do anything wearing such robes.

I liked the steamer - went inside and pretended to be a convict - then OH peered through the bars at me and grinned  ;D

I was told that if we went on a weekday, one of the Glasgow Green/Park Rangers would be able to take us around Glasgow Green explaining all the history, etc. Apparently the first monument to Nelson was the one there.

Just feeding back a few bits - I'll send my expenses in later  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
