Hello Seahall,
I have notified Tazzie of my connection to the Collins family and have since noticed that you have connection to the Hall family also.
I have been doing family Hall up in Yorkshire, Keightly, by any chance are you part of that family also?
Tazzie mentioned that you also have connections to the Collins family.  I am new to this and have been reading through some of the listings. Takes a little time to become acquainted with the workings. I amnot sure whether I have to reply via this method or if there is another method of connecting via email. I fully understand the reasons for privacy.
Hope to hear from you,  WoburnSands.

Hi Tazzie and other Collins descendants...

I'm looking into John Collins from the 1841 Census (married to Elizabeth Collins, 39, and had four sons, Noah, 12, Josiah, 10, James, 7 and John, 5.), and I believe he was one of three rioters convicted at the Aylesbury Assizes after the Swing Riots of 1831.

He continues appearing in the Census in Wavendon until 1871, by which time his address is listed as Hardwick Cottage, in modern day Woburn Sands  A death of a John Collins is recorded in the Newport Pagnell area in 1879. ‘Thomas’ is used as a forename in some records.

Have you come across this event before?

Hi Tazzie-Cuz.

Now I have done my DNA 2 years ago the Page-Sibley families have grown obviously.
Ann Collins that married Barnard seems to have come from up North.

I am amazed by how many folk on Anc* have in-correct info on many lines, as they do with my Fathers lineage.

I was at Milton Keynes a few months ago and took copies on their new machines that lets you take images from micro-fiche so have been able to expand the family. I had to spend a whole day there.

Hope you are all well.

Hello Sandy cuz....wow been a while.

I haven't been doing a lot on my lines for a while. We got swallowed up on a War Memorial project for our local area in Milton Keynes. It's been an amazing little off shoot that has made us smile and shed a tear.

Looks like ill have to catch back up and start up with the Collins again. I haven't ventured along to DNA route yet......maybe worth it.....which one did you use?

Hope you are all well. :)

My hours at school keep me busy but all good here. Eldest about to start 2nd year at Uni in  Northampton. Youngest GCSE this coming year.  Scarcely they've grown so quick.
Best wishes to you.

Tazzie

Morning Cuz.  :)

Wonderful work on your war memorial project. It is so important for them to be remembered. x

I used Anc* it even brought up a few Rootchatters lol. Look out for the special offers at £59.00 if you are going to do it.

Excellent for proving your relations, proved my father was who I had always believed him to be although my family said different. LOL.

Good to see the children are doing so well.

It is mine and Hubby's Golden Wedding Anniversary on Friday so a stressful week. LOL.

I got a special certificate from the GRO for £35 it is really worth the money.

Anyway good to see life is treating you well.

Take Care

Sandy
