Can any one shed some light on the Brentnall's please  Ethel brentnall c1894 this is my grandmother and I am having a reall hard time trying to trace her family, she married a Foxon which I have no problen doing the foxon side but the brentnall are a different story

Do you have any information about Ethel other than an approximate year of birth?

Have you found her in the 1901 census?

Do you know the names of her parents?

I can see her birth, and her I see in 1901 with parents Joseph and Selina.

What is it that you are having problems with, Cov?

Troble finding her parents i think she was born in nottingham to a Joseph brentnall and a selina slack but not 100% sure i dont have a date of birth only deffinate dates i have are for her husband Thomas foxon

I can see only one possible in BMD or census... To make 100% sure you'll need the marriage cert to confirm that her fahter was Joseph

Do you know where Ethel died?

I think she died in coventry well 99% sure she did she 7 my grandfather lived in coventry my father was also born in cov

I'am with Tati on this her marriage Cert will give her fathers name & give an idea of birth year. It may also tell you her address where she was living at the time of her marriage.

Once you have confirmed this you are able  to trace siblings & Grandparents etc . Without the confirmation you could spend hours putting  together what you THINK are facts, to find out later there is no connection.

THe marriage certificate in this instance would be a sound investment
