lost baptism
« on: Friday 13 April 07 17:42 BST (UK) »
Hi I am new to Rootsweb.  I have a problem with an ancestor  JOHN SNOWDON born circa 1810.  He gives his place of birth as Cumberland in the 1851 Census, in 1861 he gives it as Warwick Cumberland and in the 1871 census he gives it as Carlisle Cumberland.
I have found the family JOHN SNOWDON married to MARY STOREY both from Northumberland. They married in Rothbury in 1808, had a daughter Mary in Rothbury in1809
then went on to have 6 children in Warwick starting with Eleanor in 1811.  They then had another 5 children in Hesket.
I have searched the IGI and the Bishops transcripts for Warwick, also adjoining parishes. I have also searched adjoinin parishes to Rothbury but without any success.
