I have had my tribal pages website for a couple of years now and it is fantastic.  You even get a notification if someone else on Tribal pages has a hot match.

also as it is on the internet all your info stays there if your computer crashes (as has happened to me twice!  I do keep a backup gedcom of my tribal pages on a USB pen!)

Highly recommended.

I transcribed (free) to Tribal Pages a few months ago when I noted not 1 but 2 other family trees with my G Grandfathers name listed. I Know it's one in the same man as all the dob, dod, marriage and location info match my own to a tee. Problem is, after emailing these people about 3 times over the last month I have had no response from either family tree administrator. It's sooo frustrating! What really bothers me is one of the trees was listed only last year. Why do people put their name interests up if they wont respond when they see a "hot match"from another member.
I dont think this is reflective of Tribal Pages as I'm sure it happens on other web sites as well but it really steams me up.
Whew, sorry guys....................had to vent! ;)

Agree, Bron.  It's not the website's fault, but SOOOO annoying when this happens!  Rootschat is a site where it happens much less - but it does still happen, even here!

A cousin of mine has an excellent passworded site on Tribal Pages, with our common family line thoroughly researched.  After having read this thread, I am thinking of taking out a subscription to Tribal Pages myself!

Yes - definitely agree with all that's been said above on this.  I went straight into the site, signed up and started compiling my family tree on there.

My tree is called The Noquet Family Tree.
