THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!  You are wonderful!  Now if I can find what I need on Scotlandspeople.  Trying to connect the dots for my great grandfather.  This might be his mother or step-mother.

You're probably going to have to go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk to do searches,  and then order the birth, death and/or marriage certificates.  You cannot see images of the more recent certificates online due to privacy issues.  It costs  £6 for 30 credits and you can order more at a time if you think you'll use them.  Ancestry.com doesn't have access to the Scottish records, but you can find transcriptions of Scottish censuses from 1841 to 1891 on Ancestry.

Good luck!

Hi Claire,
Is Fleming, Rebecca's married name ?
No Rebecca Fleming (with Soundex ON) is listed as a birth in Scotland in 1885 on 'scotlandspeople'.
What was her husband's forename(s) and surname?
What were her parents full names?
With this information, I should be able to help.
Best to you
