Looks to me like 1920s, but the groom's hairdo looks out of time!

Yes I would say twenties (my granny's wedding dress, headdress and bouquet are remarkably similar - aren't you lucky to have a wedding pic with all the guests in it - bet you'll have loads of fun identifying those!

Ah - there's the problem!  ;D  The photo has a caption in the album - "wedding of Mr & Mrs Collis".  However, I've not yet found a male Collis of the right age - as to who they all are, goodness knows!  It's definitely from the London side of the family, and I think by this time, they'd mainly moved out of Bethnal Green/Whitechapel/Stepney and were heading East towards Ilford.

I'd say between 1920 and 1938. There are no men in uniform so before the 2nd WWar.
A bit of research into ladies hats might narrow it down further!
I looked here

Now you've mentioned hats, what do you make of the women on the back row (front row far left is a bit similar)?

This must be one of the worst examples of fashion known, surely?  ;D :o

on Ancestry's PArtail FreeBMD database I keyed in Collis, 1930 + or - 10 years, and London as the County
It came up with a good choice of possibilities!

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&gsfn=&gsln=Collis&=&f8=&rg_f7__date=1930&rs_f7__date=10&f5=&f6=&f4=&f3=London&f2=&gskw=&prox=1&db=freebmdmarriage&ti=5538&ti.si=0&gl=&gss=rfs&gst=&so=3

All those of females can be disregarded, I guess.

Any of the others ring any bells with you Aulus?

That's really funny Aulus 'cos I thought the same...it looks like she had a choice of two hats to wear and couldn't make her mind up...so she wore both ;D ;D ;D

I would go along with the late 1920's possibly 1927-1929. Seems that the bride had six brides maids, four adults and two children and could the lad sitting crossed legged on the right of the bride be the page boy?
