The 1871 that GuessL found certainly looks the closest:

RG10/5684 Folio 121 page 6

Ty Cynes, Llansantffraid (Which is the Glyndyfrdwy ED)

Richard Barnard, 59, ag lab, b. Llangwm
Elizabeth, 50. b. Bettws Gwerfyl Goch
Jane, 12,
William, 9
Elizabeth, 4

All children b. Llansantffraid

I noticed that there were quite a few Barnards in the Llangwm district but if he said Lllansantffraid on the 1901, I'm sure this is him rather than the Llangwm one.

Sister Elizabeth is on the 1881 at RG11/5539 Folio 110 Page 10. Still in the broad area.  I'm still looking for William  :-\

Nothing so far but in terms of searching, ignore the Llansantffraid Glan Conway ones.

Off chance that it could be LLansfd Glyn Ceiriog which is just over the Mountain from Glyndyfrdwy - also  quarries there.

Added - I'm wondering if the 1901 census was transcribed wrongly by the enumerator from the household schedule and the age should be 38  :-\

Still nothing coming up. However, the North Wales BMD (which doesn't include the whole of this area yet  :( ) has the birth registration of a William Barnard in Gwyddelwern in 1860. This isn't far from Glyndyfrdwy at all and could be an earlier birth to the family  :-\

Hi GuessL, Sorry I missed your post. Gadget PM'd me to have a look in the PR's for Williams baptism.
I couldn't see anything in Ll Glynceiriog.

The only Barnard baptisms in Ll Glyndyfrdwy.
Dec 31 1854. Mary Anne & Hannah Barnard. D's/O William & Maria.

Oct 10 1858. Jane Barnard D/O Richard & Elizabeth.

Burial. Elizabeth Barnard. Dec 24 1873. age 47 years.

Paul.

Hello Paul

Thanks and well done, Paul. I think the Jane 1858 looks interesting.  Lots of searchings  :-\

I was just wondering that if the next time you get your bicycle clips out you might possibly look at Gwyddelwern, Carrog and Corwen, please.

Otherwise, they might have gone Chapel!

Regards
