Can anyone please brighten up my grandmother
Sorry it is the best scan I have
She was born 1890 in Exeter and I guess this was around 1910-1915 ?
Unless you have any other views ?

The style of pose and attire would indicate to me a date line more akin to 1918 to 1925 rather than 1910 to 1915. The hemline for instance is too high for it to be have been taken in 1910/1911 as it was only around that time that hemlines started to rise above the ankle. The looseness and flow of the woman's attire also is more reminisent of the very early twenties than the stiffness of the decade before. As is her pose, relaxed and more at ease.

Lots of ankle and low neckline but no calf and no waist. I would suggest that this is later -post war say 1918-1920.

She is also wearing a wedding ring, that might help... depending when she married of course!

Lovely photo, the beautiful print of the material - much more daring that the decade(s) before!
Please acknowledge when a restorer works on your photos, it can take hours for them to work their magic

Please scan at 300dpi minimum to help save the restorers eyesight.
