in 1871 Henry Carson we know as Hepburn said was living with George & Sarah Turton

the full reference is RG10 2872 113 56

and they have been mistranscribed as Linton


it also gives Henry as 27 maing him born circa 1844

so are we pretty certain that henry (c 1844) was born in Montreal ?

1891 is interesting. Caroline is said to be a "retired"(?) laundress. If I have read that correctly, how has a laundress suddenly got enough money to retire at 40?

on the marriage cert it listed Henrys father as a gentle man maybe the money came formt here???

We weren't able to find an obvious match for Henry in the 1851 census of Quebec or England. 

Maybe someone else might be able to find him?
