I am looking for information on Frances Brown she married Neil Olsen 20 Dec 1864 Dunedin N.Z. Neil Olsen was born in Copenhagen Denmark.
I know nothing of Frances Brown Can anyone help please

The idea is to work back from the known to the unknown. Do you have a copy of the 1864 marriage certificate? Do you know where the couple lived, or when either of them died or are buried? Did they have children?

Looking at some CD's it would seem spelling is NIELS, so may help

Did he die 1919, a chesemaker at Kaponga??? or 1906 a Farmer Napier area
Just 2 possible probates to try and work back to Frances

There are a few Niel & variants in 1893 electoral roll, but no Frances

Thinking laterally, local museums around Otago might have some record of the couple. The Lawrence Museum might not have much after 1880's, perhaps, but should be able to suggest other places to search:

Thats him alright, So he did spell his name Neils.
I know they had 3 sons and 3 daughters
Erasmus
Charles
Francis
Bertha
Harriet
Alexandra
All of whom went to Waitahuna Gully School about 1875-1880.
Frances it seems died aged 32 yrs Native of England 15 yrs in Province.
Thomas francis Brown Upholster was the witness at the wedding, could be brother or father
