From the MOD website, which you quote....

http://www.army.mod.uk/linkedfiles/intelligencecorps/int_corps_history.pdf

"In due course police officers and other with suitable civilian qualifications were
employed as Field Security Police (either transferring to the 10th Fusiliers or  retaining their own cap badges)."

Ergo cannot be WW1 Int Corps....
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Yes, i agree that its not the intelligence corps, it was just an initial guess.

I think it is a maple leaf and i think it has a crown, but i think on the photo it looks like there is quite a bit more definition between the leaves and the centre section than there is on the Western Ontario one.

Just what i see, doesn't mean im right :P

Hi all, thanks very much for all your comments - it makes interesting reading.  Following on from the info you have given me and thinking that maybe the man in uniform could have been my greatgrandfather(?), and say he was part of the canadian military, any ideas on where I go from here to try and find out?

Lindy ;D ;D
