I have a Hayling(s) family tree (Genes Reunited) going back to John Haylings b1803 married Frances Haines. If of interest I can let you see the tree to see if there are any matches.

I don't know whether it's too late to reply to this thread.  I've only joined this morning but this is my family!  How great it would be to compare what I've done  to something that's been done by someone else.

Yes I am still about! I am not researching the Hayling family its just that I came across their family tree in my families papers when sorting thru'. Why it was there is a mystery as I have never found a connection with my family.

I can certainly look in my papers for the tree and answer any questions you might have.

Maybe I can put you in touch with Marshall as it is his family and he will have more info than me

I did see Marshall's reply but I've no idea how to get in touch with him.  I'm also in Birmingham and I'd love to see a copy of the tree you both have just to check that what I have so far is OK.
