My attempt.  With a lot more time I think that it can be improved on.
POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

another one that has been compressed  :(
Do you have the original or is this one sent by email?

It lightens quite well but the resulting picture is extreamely pixelated.  its showing its been scanned at 1200ppi ? which can only mean that when reducing in size its been compressed.

Jenny

ps if it was sent by email and you haven't resized it then there is not much we can do on the quality apart from lighten it.

Thanks for the posts.

I do have access to the original as my mam has it.  I scanned & posted this on her new Vista PC (which I hate), so i'll borrow the photo from her later in the week & scan it again.

Cheers

thanks... as you can see from Silv's restore it lightens well but you can see the pixelation. Trying to get rid of it would ruin it.

Though I would have a go, but even on the Vista (which I love but beware of Service Pack 1) it's not at all good.

There's more noise in that photo than there
is in the bin lorry which stops outside my
bedroom window at 6.30am every Friday.
