Hi Royd,

If you are still looking for old photos of Dysart, if you go to www.fifefhs.org/publications/stenlake/stenlake.htm this is the Fife Family History Society website and Hugh Hoffman has a stock of these books. They are published by a company called Stenlake Publishing.

Hi,

I simply loved all the friendly chit-chat. Patches 71, I was interested in your reference to Margaret Herd Pullar's death in 1943 at Dundee. The name HERD is a family that I'm researching as you may have noticed elsewhere on the Fife Board. Would greatly appreciate a message from you.

Best wishes to you and yours,

Tom.

Hi Tom, hope you and Patches can help each other's research.  I am thinking of getting the Old Dysart book as a birthday present for other half.   Hope it's appreciated!

Hi Royd,

Yes, I've been in touch with Hugh Hoffman of the FFHS quite recently, and have made a purchase from the Society some time ago. A really nice group of people.

The book about Dysart would be a very useful thing to have for anyone with an interest in that part of Fife. I would imagine that I would see a lot of changes to my birthplace of Kirkcaldy if it were possible for me to travel.

It's nice to see other RootsChatters giving reference points for various publications. I really appreciate that kind of assistance.

Best wishes to you and yours,

Tom.

The Fife Family History Society Site is at:

http://www.fifefhs.org/

Click on the button on the left which reads:
Publications
for sale

A Google for
"Old Dysart and East Kirkcaldy"
(with quotes) will find other places where that book can be purchased - but supporting the FifeFHS is a very good idea.
