By the 1901 census George E and Adele Stone were Photographic Artists.


On Samuel Barns WW1 record on page 24 of25 he did a course in Photography at  yes you quessed it at  George E Stone's.

The war records for both  men  give  the name and year of  the ship  they returned home on.

I am totally overwhelmed with the response I have received from you all. I haven't had chance for it all to sink in yet but using just a bit of the information has allowed me to progress with the tree.

You are truly Amazing Australians and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for these responses. I cannot remember who mentioned the letter from Cora regarding her husband Roy being discharged to England but sadly, despite many attempts, I have not been able to access the record. I am not sure what I am doing wrong!

Once again, I will look at all the valuable information you have supplied to me - you are brilliant!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Can I just say a reat big thank you to all of you amazing people who have helped me with my look up request for Nancy Stone and Coralie Stone. Thanks to your assistance, I have been able to find details of their marriages and lots more!

The only information I cannot find is when Nancy Barnes (nee Stone) left for Australia and whether or not Nancy and Coralie had any children at all. On the England & Wales census it lists everyone living at a particular house. Please can you tell me if it is the same with the Australian Census returns?

Anyway, thank you so much again - I really appreciate all of your help, time and research.
