Does anyone know if there are records for other ranks who served in the Royal Flying Corps.
Regards,

stanmapstone,
Thank you stan, I have been on Ancestry, unfortunately the records do not seem to have survived the fire. There is nothing under pensions or service record, my only hope now to be able to prove incorrect details on the CWGC site is through finding an obituary that shows his Regiment Number.
Thanks again,
Brian

Would anyone be able to tell me anything about David Alexander Logan, born 16/1/1874 in East Lothian, who was with the Royal Flying Corps in WWI?

Sorry i don't have his enlistment number.

The RFC WW1 Service Records are available to search online at the National Archives Site. Have you tried looking on there? See:

Thanks Romilly
I looked this up but something isn't ringing true. We know that David was guarding prisoners in France during the war and have several mementos.
Curious!

Hello Glen,
The service records for other ranks, who served in the RFC in WWI are quite scarce. I had tried to locate his service and pension records through Ancestry, but without any luck.
Here are the details that I have on Cpl. 8183 George Henry FURNEAUX, born 11 Feb. 1883 in Torquay. He died 4 Jan 1918 and is buried at Doullens Comm. Cemetery Ext. No. 1. On his death certificate it gives his rank as Corporal 1 A.D. [which I think means No1 Air Depot at St. Omer, France], he died of Pneumonia.
If you can find any of his records, I should be very grateful,
thank you,
Brian
