I'm glad you found Selena in the US - age of eldest child shows they left Lincs before 1861.
John W HOOTON married Jane WENHAM - I don't know what happened to them ... wait -
John and Jane WISHLEAD in 1851 - 3 kids at home and another next door with WHINHAMs. I can't see them after that.
I can't see them either but note that their children are registered as Edward Hooton; Mary Ann Wishl*** Hooton and John William Hooton although they appear in this census as Wishlead (Wishlade) Perhaps they emigrated too. (The other child at home is a nephew)
