Hi John,

well it's either me or you but I can't understand your post- sorry  :'(

I can see 1908 William Henry and Edith Annie. The reference is on Fee BMD.

Where does William Henry and Elise come into this- are they the next generation?

Ah well - I can't help much with later bits and there are a few Williams in 1901 so the best thing would be for your friend to get the marriage certificate of William Henry and Edith Annie. That would give him William's father's name and hopefully he could then be off researching his tree.  :D

best wishes
heywood

The safest thing would be for your friend to invest in that marriage certificate for William Henry. You would then have his father's name and you would stand a reasonable chance then of finding ancestors through the censuses.

I suddenly thought that there may be a clue in 1911 but again you will have to invest to get correct information.
Edith Annie seems to be there with William Herbert aged 1 but no William Henry  :(
You might want to check yourself.

There is only one birth for a WIlliam Henry Tindall in Grantham on Free BMD - 1884.

1901 has 2  ???

William Henry b 1883 Great Grimsby living in Lancashire so he could perhaps be discounted

William Hy Tindall b 1884 Great Gonerby parents Broughton and Mary Ann living Spittlegate Lincolnshire

do they ring any bells?
