My 4th-great-grandmother's maiden name is spelled Harrow on transcript of her 1807 marriage record, but Marrow on her youngest son's 1911 death certificate. She married Samuel Hart in St. Columb's Parish in Londonderry, and they lived in Magherashanvalley, Donaghmore Parish, Donegal, before sailing to New York on a brig named Ontario in 1834. The marriage transcript gives no details of either's parents, hometown, or age, and both Samuel and Charlotte disappear after the 1855 New York State Census. The following year, three of their seven sons moved to Michigan, and the entire family began to spread out. I have found no death or burial records for either Samuel or Charlotte. It's possible that one or both made the journey to Michigan, but it's not very likely. My 3rd-great-grandfather, James Hart, married Jane Kirk in 1841, the daughter of William Kirk and Anne Morrow of Mullinboys, Inver Parish, Donegal.
EDIT: Both Samuel Hart and Charlotte Marrow were born about 1790.
